Concluding a settlement agreement, if it meets the correct conditions, also in principle entitles one to a WW benefit. The settlement agreement is therefore broadly preferred by employers as a means to end the employment contract. After all, there is no need to litigate before the UWV or the subdistrict court, which saves a lot of money and time. It has thus become the main route for a dismissal &#8220;by mutual agreement&#8221;.     <\/p>\n\n<p>If you, as an employee, are confronted with an impending dismissal for economic reasons or a difference of opinion, it is important to quickly obtain legal advice about it. In a meeting we map out how strong your negotiating position is, which interests are at play, and, consequently, which conditions must be stipulated. Often some adjustments also need to be made to the wording of the settlement agreement.
