
The storm has not subsided since the first #metoo revelations in 2017. Where someone in the 90s and 00s may have easily gotten away with something, that is absolutely “not done” in 2019, especially if there is a power relationship (supervisor – subordinate). We see that employers must act quickly to ensure that their managers / employees behave according to these changed standards of conduct. There seems to be different perceptions, where women may experience a comment or situation as transgressive or sexist more quickly.
