From now on, it is easier for employees to hire people with a work disability. A few days ago, the UWV launched the ‘candidate explorer jobs agreement’, an online personnel database with nearly 60 thousand job seekers with a work disability.
In addition, the no-risk policy (which covers the employer’s risk of continued payment of wages during illness) will be valid for an indefinite period. The Senate agreed last week to make the no-risk policy permanent (currently valid for 5 years). In that case, employers who have hired someone with a work disability do not have to continue paying wages for two years during illness.
